The Challenge
As part of their sustainability programme and net zero targets, Esh Group launched a car salary sacrifice scheme for all employees. To support this initiative and encourage the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles, they needed a comprehensive EV charging solution across their premises.
The Solution
Working with local specialists Homecharge Ltd of Newton Aycliffe, Esh Group developed and implemented a three-phase charging infrastructure project:
Staff Car Park
- Created a dedicated charging hub with 10 EV spaces
- Installed 5 dual pedestal mounted 22kW Rolec Quantum chargepoints
- Designed for both salary sacrifice scheme participants and private EV owners
Visitor Facilities
- Implemented dual pedestal mounted 22kW Rolec Quantum chargepoint
- Strategic placement near the main entrance for easy access
- Enables visitors to charge whilst attending meetings
Plant Yard
- Installed three single wall mounted Alfen Pro-line 22kW chargepoints
- Specifically designed for the new fleet of electric vans
- Supports Esh Group’s prestigious Northumbrian Water contract
